We know what families actually need: shorter legs, early arrivals, kid-friendly food and water — always water. This journey was tested with our own children — from the turtle hatchery in Kosgoda to a kid-sized safari in Udawalawe.

Elephant orphanage with a kid-friendly programme.

Day 3 · Sigiriya

Sigiriya — kid-easy

We choose Pidurangala over Sigiriya — same view, half the stairs.

Day 4 · Kandy

Kandy & dance show

Temple of the Tooth, then the colourful dance show — kids love it too.

Day 5 · Ella

Train to Ella

The famous train ride, with reserved seats.

Discovering Ella

Walk to Nine Arches Bridge and a tea tasting.

Udawalawe safari

Kid-friendly alternative to Yala — elephants almost guaranteed.

To the coast

Transfer to the south coast, first beach night.
