Terms & Conditions

1. Scope

These travel terms apply to all travel contracts concluded between Lanka Reisen ([address] — "the operator") and the traveller.

2. Booking and contract

By submitting a booking request, the traveller makes a binding offer to enter into a travel contract. The contract is concluded upon the operator's booking confirmation.

3. Deposit and final payment

On contract conclusion a 30 % deposit of the travel price is due immediately by credit card. The remaining balance (70 %) falls due 14 days before departure — we send a payment link in good time.

4. Services, prices, changes

Services are defined by the relevant tour description and booking confirmation. All material components of the travel price are stated before contract conclusion.

5. Cancellation by the traveller

The traveller may withdraw at any time before departure. Cancellation fees per person:

• up to 60 days before departure: refund of deposit less verifiable third-party costs
• 59–30 days before departure: 30 % of travel price
• 29–15 days before departure: 60 %
• 14–1 days before departure: 80 %
• on the day of departure or no-show: 95 %

6. Traveller obligations

The traveller must hold a valid passport (at least 6 months beyond the end of travel), a valid Sri Lanka ETA and any required vaccinations. The operator is not liable for consequences of missing entry documents.

7. Insurance

Travel cancellation insurance and international health insurance are strongly recommended. Neither is included in the travel price.

8. Insolvency protection

Per § 651r German Civil Code, the operator must protect customer funds against insolvency. Cover is provided by [insurer / certificate number].

9. Liability

The operator's contractual liability is limited to three times the travel price, unless damage was caused intentionally or by gross negligence.

10. Applicable law and venue

German law applies. Place of jurisdiction is [operator's seat].
